A 5-month-old girl is hospitalized and her older brother in protective custody as Wichita police investigate a possible case of child abuse.
When children are removed from their home and taken into police protective custody, they are often given a trashbag for their belongings. A TRASHBAG. Imagine the emotional toll this can have on children in our community as they move from foster home to foster home stuffing their belongings into a trashbag. Our children deserve better!
With your help, Junior League of Wichita is collecting donations to purchase duffel bags and self care items for children in transition.
Attending an event for one of our local resources is a great way to show your support. By participating in an event or fundraiser, you are helping the missions of our local resources to combat child abuse.
There are not events scheduled right now. Check back later.
