Volunteer to Help Combat Child Abuse

Members of our community who are willing to volunteer their time and talents play an instrumental role in keeping alive the missions of several local non-profit and charitable organizations. There are several ways that you can help combat child abuse in our community. Current volunteer opportunities are listed below.

    Volunteers are a blessing! Women of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to volunteer their time at The Treehouse. There are several positions you can choose from: Front Desk Receptionist, Clerk in the Thrift Store, a Client Advocate or one of the many behind-the-scenes jobs. There are two shifts 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. These positions are also available on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon.

    Victim advocates take a minimum of two 12 hour shifts on the crisis line per month. All of the calls go through an answering service, so the crisis line can be answered from your home. While on call, victim advocates may be called to respond to the hospital to be with a victim during the collection of evidence. Victim advocates also provide services to friends and family members of the person that has been sexually assaulted.
